Bruhl was cast in Captain America: Civil War as a yet to be announced villain for the third installment of Captain America. As a villain, the actor could be any of a number of super-villains in the comics but there are a few possibilities for him, namely, a government official hell-bent on seeing the Superhero Registration Act enforced to the letter. Or he could also be Nitro, the villain responsible for the deaths of hundreds of civilians which triggered the Superhero Registration Act.
In the release, Marvel Studios president, Kevin Feige is all praises about Bruhl.
“With Daniel's ability to deliver intense, nuanced performances, we knew we had found yet another great actor to share the screen with some of our biggest heroes,”
