Batman has been lording it over video games for the better part of the past three years. The latest installment to the Batman: Arkham series is poised to ensure that the franchise continues to do so. The first gameplay trailer for the last part of this series was released last Wednesday by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment.
In Batman: Arkham Knight, the Dark Knight battles Scarecrow for the fate of Gotham City and its citizens. But Scarecrow will not be alone. A who’s whoof Batman’s enemies will have to come together as a united force to be rid of the Dark Knight and take over the city once and for all.
If the critically-acclaimed video game series’ previous installments is any indication, then Batman: Arkham Knight is guaranteed to be a huge success. The Batmobile will be a necessary ally in this battle which is why, for the first time ever, you can now drive the vehicle to assist you in your combat against crime. The trailer, in fact, shows you just how incredible the Batmobile can be.
Here’s the official synopsis of the game:
“Scarecrow returns to Gotham City to unite the Rogues Gallery in a master plan to destroy the Batman once and for all. When the citizens of Gotham are forced to flee, the remaining criminal gangs converge to take control of the city. Undermanned and overpowered, Batman aims to even the odds by bringing his legendary Batmobile to the fight. This showdown between criminal masterminds and the Dark Knight will decide the future of the city that Batman is sworn to protect.”
Batman Arkham Knight is set to be released in October of this year.
